Monmouth University offers supplemental life insurance coverage to eligible full-time employees on the first of the month following 30 days of full-time continuous employment.
If an employee enrolls within 30 days of eligibility, a physical is not required, and the carrier cannot refuse enrollment. An employee can waive life insurance coverage and apply at a later date. However, the employee must complete an evidence of insurability form that accompanies the late applications. The carrier also may request an employee to submit to a physical exam in order to be considered for late enrollment, and the carrier has the right to reject enrollment.
