New Student Orientation

For Students

Hawk Welcome & Advising Day

One day programs, June 26-29 and July 10-13

Students will come to campus to meet with an academic advisor and register for Fall 2023 classes. Students attend workshops aimed at preparing them for both their academic and social transition to Monmouth. You will be given a selection of dates to choose from based upon your major. Registration will open in early May. You can register your family to attend Family Orientation at the same time.

New Student Orientation (NSO)

Friday, September 1 -Monday, September 4, 2023

During orientation, you will participate in a variety of interactive programs designed to allow you to meet fellow first year students and to assist with your transition to Monmouth. This is an extremely important program for all students to attend – both residential and commuter students. You will receive additional information and a schedule for NSO in early August. Move-in for resident students will take place Thursday, August 31(Honors, Out of State, EOF and residents living in Beechwood and Hesse Hall) and Friday, September 1; more information about move-in will be sent with housing assignments in late June.

Family Orientation

June 26-29 and July 10-13

Families are invited to attend Family Orientation while students are attending their Hawk Welcome & Advising Day. This program will focus on the student experience both inside and outside the classroom. Many parts of this program will have recorded versions that be will be posted to on the Orientation page in case you are unavailable in person and would like to view the sessions at your convenience. Registration for Family Orientation is part of the student’s Hawk Welcome and Advising Days registration.
