Endowed Chairs
Within the Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities and Social Sciences are the Freed Chair in Social Science, endowed through a gift from the Gerald Freed Foundation, and the Jules Plangere, Jr. Chair in American Social History, endowed through a gift of former Board Chair and Trustee Emeritus Jules Plangere, Jr. HN ’86.
- Professor Dr. Katherine Parkin, a professor of History, occupies the Plangere Chair.
- Professor Kristin Bluemel, a professor of English, occupies the McMurray-Bennett Chair.
