Our Mission
Our primary purpose is to provide services that enable students to meet with success at the University, especially in the area of academics. In addition, we recognize the unique emotional needs of students with disabilities and provide support as appropriate.
The DDS staff will strive to develop students’ self-knowledge of strengths and weaknesses, realizing that self-awareness is vital to the empowerment of students with disabilities. Our efforts will foster independence among students as we continuously prepare them for transition to the post-University experience.
We will support the University faculty and staff with regard to assisting students with disabilities on campus. We will collaborate with other skills/support centers at Monmouth University so that we can provide optimal service for students./
