Your Advisor
New transfer students will meet with a faculty advisor for their initial academic advising and course registration. We recommend that incoming students review our online pre-orientation for tips on preparing for their first advisement meeting. Please keep in mind that new transfer students cannot self-register for classes without first meeting with their advisors!
The advisor that conducts the initial meeting may not be the student’s permanent advisor. Students will be assigned an advisor no later than the beginning of the add/drop period. Students can locate their academic advisor in Student Planning.
Course Registration
In order to register for courses, new students must first secure their seat in the class by placing their enrollment deposit. Registration for incoming fall students begins approximately in mid-April. Registration for incoming spring students starts roughly in early October. Returning students can find course registration information and priority dates in Student Planning.
