Welcome to the Monmouth University community! We understand that the transition to a new school can be a challenging process. The Office of Transfer Services’ philosophy of personal attention helps to minimize the chance of culture shock, but we understand that it can sometimes be difficult to navigate a new landscape. Please feel free to reach out to Transfer Services if you need help with anything at all. We look forward to assisting you during this exciting time in your lives.
Our office is committed to serving transfer students by helping them prepare for fulfilling academic experiences, assisting them as they transition to Monmouth University, and encouraging and guiding their progress toward graduation and life after Monmouth. Some examples of the services we offer to incoming and current students include:
- Transfer credit evaluation reviews
- MyMU portal and campus technologies training
- Referrals to campus resources to ensure student success
- Provide supplemental academic advisement
Meet the Team
Anthony M. Urmey – Director of Transfer Services & Undeclared Services
Anthony grew up down the road from Monmouth University. He completed his Master’s Degree at Fordham University in History and has worked in higher education for 14 years, focusing on transfer student advocacy since 2011. When he is not busy directing the Transfer and Undeclared Services Office, Anthony can be found sipping coffee and reading a good book. On the weekends he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter Genevieve, the busiest toddler in the tri-state area.

Chrissy Schopf – Coordinator of Transfer & Undeclared Services
Chrissy earned her Master’s degree in Student Affairs and College Counseling and her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Health Studies both from Monmouth University. She is extremely passionate about the institution and what it stands for. Chrissy enjoys taking her dog to the park, reading, listening to podcasts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Lori Lichter – Student Development Counselor for Student Services & Undeclared Services
Lori began her career at Monmouth College 34 years ago where she has been an advisor, mentor, and Freshman Seminar instructor. She received her degrees in Psychology from Montclair State and shares a common interest in the field of animal assisted therapy with her daughter (a MU alumnus). Her days off include taking their dog to visit senior citizens and working with therapeutic horses. Lori is the advisor to Circle K International and past advisor to the Hillel and Equestrian Clubs on campus.

Angela Quinn – Secretary, Transfer Services & Undeclared Services
Angela joined the Transfer and Undeclared Services team in October of 2017. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, where she was also a 4-year member of the Women’s Rowing team. In her free time, Angela enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
