Multidisciplinary Poster Expo – All Schools, Departments and Programs

Members of the 2023 Student Scholarship Committee representing each of Monmouth University’s Schools selected approximately 10 posters per school to represent the diversity, range and quality of research and scholarship done by our students. These posters will remain on display throughout the week.

Viewers will have an opportunity to vote for the best presentation in several categories.

AR-218, Sculpture II, created an installation as part of their collaboration with the Climate Teach In.

Presenting a representative sample of each graduating senior’s best work, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, silk-screening, book arts, graphic design, motion graphics, and animation.

School of Humanities and Social Sciences – History & Anthropology: Public History in Practice

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Via Zoom

Students will discuss experiential public history projects that are preparing them for life after Monmouth, furthering historic preservation efforts throughout the state, documenting personal narratives, and benefitting our community partners and the general public. School of Humanities and Social Science – History & Anthropology – The Exploration of Human Variation: Student Posters

1:15 p.m. – 2:35 p.m. | Edison Atrium Lobby

Students in AN 398-01 (Human Variation) examined a multitude of ways that people vary. They picked a project, collected data, examined their results, and drew their conclusions. This poster session will showcase the students’ hard work throughout this semester. 

School of Humanities and Social Sciences – Communication – Breaking News – Consuming Media from a Critical Intercultural Lens

Presentations and discussion by students of CO226 – Intercultural Communication of a selection of recent national news events. Students will bring a critical intercultural lens to their investigation, and provide an overview of the importance of developing and utilizing effective intercultural communication skills in their everyday lives.

Continuing a 23-year tradition to honor our faculty, The MU Faculty Author Reception is an annual event held during the Spring Semester sponsored by the Provost’s Office and the Library to acknowledge and celebrate our MU book/article/journal authors and the 2 winners of the Student Research Awards, one GR and one UG.
