School of Science Student Advisory Council

The School of Science Student Advisory Council (SoS SAC) consists of an array of students representing all majors and interests across the School of Science. Members of SoS SAC collaborate with the Dean, School Leadership Team, and Dean’s Advisory Council to represent the interests of students and to work toward elevating the opportunities and experiences for everyone.

The Student Advisory Council plays an important role in the school by sharing their insights with perspective as well as advocating for their peers and needs. Serving on the council offers the opportunity to have an impact on the school’s community and their experiences. Member responsibilities include:

  • Council meeting twice a semester with the Dean
  • Meeting with the Dean’s Advisory Council (typically once a semester)
  • Opportunities to interact with the School of Science Leadership Team
  • Members are also in many ways ambassadors for the school and may assist with events such as the fall open house, spring accepted student days

  • Must have completed at least one year at Monmouth

Meet the Advisory Council

Amina Rabah

Hi! My name is Amina Rabah and I am a biology student here at Monmouth. I am in the Physician Assistant (3+3) program, as well as the Honors School  and love all things science. I am involved in Tri-Beta, the Pre-PA club, and the Surgical Club. When I am not in school, I love reading, painting, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Isabella Torres

Hello! My name is Isabella Torres, but my nickname is Izzy. I am a senior biology student with a minor in chemistry. Some things about me are that I am a part of EOF for low-income students. I identify as a part of the LQBTQ+ community. I am currently the president of Tri-Beta and want more members to make this a community! I am a peer tutor in the student center for science course and have background in research in Dr. Polishook and Dr. Macks lab. On my free time I enjoy cooking, puzzles and playing video games.

Natalie Wentzel

I am a third-year chemistry student with a strong interest in science and the environment. At Monmouth, I participate in faculty-led research, which is further developing my interest in chemistry. Outside of school, I volunteer at a local stable that provides equine therapy for veterans, where I help care for the horses. I also work at a local gym and enjoy staying active!

Siena Zisa

I’m a senior at Monmouth University pursuing a B.S. in Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I work with the Urban Coast Institute and the Global Ocean Forum on ocean-climate policy, and research elasmobranch presence and distribution in the Mid-Atlantic using eDNA in Monmouth’s PHAB Lab. As president of Monmouth’s Love Blue chapter, I organize coastal cleanups and engage students in ocean stewardship. I am passionate about protecting our blue planet and taking care of our community.
