Articulation Agreements

Monmouth University School of Science is actively pursuing articulation agreements with other institutions of higher learning in order to facilitate educational opportunities for our students and to streamline the academic experience for students wanting to pursue graduate study at Monmouth. These agreements are with Rutgers School of Health Related Professions; American International College of Arts and Sciences – Antigua; and two Chinese universities, Xi’an University of Science and Technology and Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, both in Xi’an, China.

Two programs that will facilitate health-related studies for Monmouth students after graduation are with Rutgers School of Health Related Professions and the American International College of Arts and Sciences – Antigua.

The agreement with the Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (RU-SHRP) allows eligible Monmouth University students to enter the master’s program in Clinical Trial Sciences at RU-SHRP. The agreement provides admission for Monmouth University students majoring in biology, chemistry, or mathematics to attend RU-SHRP’s MS program in Clinical Trial Sciences. The program will include four years of undergraduate education at Monmouth University, followed by two to three years of education at Rutgers leading to an MS degree. Read more about this agreement.

Our agreement with American International College of Arts and Sciences – Antigua (AUA) was developed by Professors Bernadette Dunphy and Dorothy Lobo, co-directors of Monmouth University’s Pre-Health Advising (PHA). This allows qualified Monmouth graduates to enter AUA’s medical program. “AUA is a well-respected institution among international medical schools,” said Dr. Michael Palladino, Vice Provost for Graduate Studies, and former Dean of the School of Science. “This agreement provides an excellent opportunity for eligible biology and chemistry majors to pursue an MD degree. We look forward to a long-standing collaboration with AUA.” For more information, see our news release. The signing ceremony is pictured below.

Other articulation agreements with Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications (XUPT) [see photo above] and Xi’an University of Science and Technology (XUST), Xi’an, China, allow eligible students to enter the master’s program in computer science or
software engineering at Monmouth University. These agreements between the Chinese universities and Monmouth University provide admission for qualified XUPT and XUST students majoring in computer science and/or software engineering to attend
Monmouth University. The Chinese undergraduate students will complete three years of study at XUPT and XUST and two years of study at Monmouth University. The students will receive a bachelor’s degree from XUPT or XUST and a master’s
degree from Monmouth University. Chinese students enrolled in this joint program are encouraged to also enroll in the ESL Summer Program at Monmouth University prior to starting the fall semester. More on these agreements can be found here.
