Steven Denholtz

As chairman at Denholtz, Steven Denholtz draws on nearly 40 years of leadership experience to shape the strategic direction, working closely with the executive team to identify and pursue growth opportunities.

​During his tenure as CEO, Steven guided the firm’s expansion into a national real estate asset manager with a portfolio valued at $2 billion, spanning multifamily, industrial, and office properties.​

His leadership has earned him numerous accolades, including the 2024 Charles Klatskin Lifetime Achievement Award from NAIOP NJ. He is an active board member of the Monmouth Conservation Foundation and the Kislak School of Real Estate at Monmouth University, where he also serves as an adjunct professor. Additionally, he has contributed his time and expertise to organizations such as the Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and the Count Basie Center for the Arts.​

Steven holds a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and both a B.A. and M.A. from Northwestern University.

Jeffrey P. Wiener, Posthumously

Jeffrey Wiener was a revered, highly successful commercial real estate broker who spent nearly five decades with The Kislak Company, Inc. including 17 years as its president. He passed away in July 2025, leaving behind a loving family and countless friends and colleagues throughout the commercial real estate industry.

Wiener was a lifelong resident of New Jersey and a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans. In 1973, after working on Wall Street, he began his very successful career at Kislak. For many years, he was the firm’s top salesperson and remains one of the all-time most successful brokers of multifamily properties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After stepping down from the presidency, he remained active in the business that he loved for many years.

A scholarship has been established in Wiener’s memory by the Kislak Family Foundation and his family and friends to aid full-time undergraduate students who are residents of New Jersey and pursuing a career in real estate at Monmouth University. The scholarship recipients will follow in his footsteps and honor his proud legacy.

The Leadership Excellence Award is the centerpiece of the evening, acknowledging the profound interdependence between Monmouth University and the real estate sector. Each year, this award is bestowed upon an exceptional individual whose distinctive achievements have left an indelible mark on both the local and national real estate landscape. It serves as a testament to their unwavering dedication and commitment to advancing the industry.

Additionally, the evening features the Service to the Industry Award, an accolade presented to those—past and present—who have gone above and beyond in providing exceptional service and support to the real estate community. Their outstanding contributions may encompass advocacy, education, or other vital services that enrich and strengthen the industry.

About the Institute

The Kislak Real Estate Institute at Monmouth University has been a pioneer in providing educational opportunities tailored to the real estate industry. Offering a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in real estate for undergraduates. Furthermore, the institute fosters ongoing education and networking opportunities through our events for real estate industry professionals. Numerous scholarship funds have been established, ensuring aspiring real estate students have access to the resources they need to succeed.

As the Kislak Real Estate Institute continues to evolve, new courses and research endeavors are being explored to address the industry’s ever-changing landscape.

In compliance with IRS regulations, your fees are tax-deductible to the extent that payment exceeds the fair market value of goods and services received by attendee. The tax-deductible portion will benefit the Jay I. Kislak Endowed Director Fund.
