The purpose of the database is to provide reporters with a resource for finding experts to quote when they are working on news stories related to a variety of topics.

Brian Callahan, Ph.D.
Expertise: Cyber Security
Dr. Callahan can speak about the following topics: quantum computing, generative AI, cybersecurity, and improving cybersecurity for everyday people.
Dr. Callahan received both this M.S. and Ph.D. in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also earned his M.A. in Anthropology from Monmouth University. His research on quantum cybersecurity recently won the Best Presentation Award at the 28th Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE).
Weihao Qu, Ph.D.
Expertise: Cyber Security
Dr. Qu can speak about the following topics: programming languages, including acting as a reviewer for programming language conferences (POPL AEC, PLDI AEC, OOPSLA AEC); and machine learning in health care and other systems.
Dr. Qu received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Boston University and his M.S. in Computer Science at University at Buffalo. He is currently an IEEE journal reviewer for Transaction on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. He previously worked as a research scientist at Meta on security program analysis.
