    Way to Wellness, Monmouth University’s employee wellness program is committed to a campus culture that promotes wellness through healthy lifestyles that enhance the quality of life for our employees. Way to Wellness offers a variety of programming and services, such as health assessments and education, fitness activities, smoking cessation workshops, weight management options and more to help employees reach their health goals.

    Health Center

    The University Health Center is available to all employees and their spouse/domestic partner who are enrolled in our medical plan for common, non-urgent illness or injury. Your primary care physician will continue to be used for chronic disease management. However, in the event of a serious illness or injury please call the Monmouth University Police department at 732-571-4444.

    The Health Center also assists in the assessment of work-related injuries. If you experience an injury in the course of your work responsibilities, please report to the Health Center for evaluation and referral is necessary.

    The Health Center is located on University Road on the north campus, adjacent to Birch Hall and the Monmouth University Library.

    Clinic Hours, Fall and Spring Semesters

    Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Free Counseling Session - Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the Health Center

    Dr. Thomas Moore, Director of the Barnabas OneSource Employee Assistance Program will be on site for employee consultations and intake. This is a free benefit to all employees so if you have been experiencing difficulty with life issues please call Dr. Moore directly at 212-691-4408 to schedule an appointment.  Appointments will be limited to 30 minutes between the hours of 12 and 4 p.m. The doctor will help with setting up additional sessions with a designated provider.

    Weight Watcher at Work - Wednesdays at 1 p.m. - Wilson Hall Room 309

    A great group to join to share tools and strategies with fellow employees facing the same challenges as you on their weight loss journey. Private weigh -ins each week is a sure-fire way to stay accountable to your weight loss goals. Learn about the PointsPlus® system - a simple way to know what to eat and how much. Membership can be paid through payroll deduction - call Kathy Stein in the Office of Human Resources for additional information. 

    Annual Employee De-Stress Day - Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the MAC

    All employees are invited to join us for the Fifth Annual Employee De-Stress Day.  The day will begin at 10 am with a Laughter Workshop followed by Tai Chi class, meditation techniques and learn about pranic healing.  You can make an appointment for a mini-facial, back massage or have your eye brows threaded.  Wind down while you interact with puppies from The Seeing Eye or have free screenings for blood pressure or blood sugar.  Grab a healthy smoothie or learn how to make one. Games, prizes and exercise classes.  A day you don't want to miss!!  Watch for additional emails and schedules or call Human Resources for more information.

    University Fitness Center

    Membership at the Fitness Center is a free benefit to all employees and their spouse/domestic partner. Employees can obtain a registration form in the Office of Human Resources. The Office of Human Resources works in conjunction with the Fitness Center and Department of Athletics to offer quality fitness and wellness programs to the campus community. Fitness Center Demos are available as well as Personal Training. Watch for e-mails offering a variety of motivational programs to improve your health and well-being.
