The studio-based B.A. degrees are designed for students who want a strong and expansive studio experience in the visual arts. The B.A. in Art with a concentration in Photography is a focused course of study in the aesthetic and technical aspects of fine and applied photographic practice, including an array of digital and film-based skills. B.A. in Art candidates complete traditional courses in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. The B.A. in Art student also has the option for advanced focus in a specific area of interest by completing up to 12 credits of independent study.
For students training to become teachers, there is the B.A. in Art and Education with Endorsement in Elementary Education or with Endorsement in K-12 Education in Art. Students who follow this course of study complete a range of traditional studio art courses while also completing their School of Education course requirements.
