About Allegheny County DHS
Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) connects people in need with services that help. Each year, DHS and its network of 300+ community-based organizations serve more than 200,000 residents across Allegheny County. Interns contribute to real public-sector work while learning alongside professionals working in human services, data, technology, policy, communications and program operations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct research and produce literature reviews, case studies, policy briefs, and presentations to share findings with the team
- Fulfill research requests from planning analysts to inform active projects
- Summarize and synthesize complex information into clear, accessible formats
- Contribute to policy research and analysis on a range of planning topics
