What is the Leon Hess Business Council?
The Business Council consists of 35 professionals dedicated to philanthropic activities and mentoring initiatives for students of the Leon Hess Business School. The purpose of the Business Council is to provide support and advice to the Dean of the Leon Hess Business School on matters relating to academic programs, student development, social responsibility, and strategic planning.
Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Business Council is to provide support and advice to the Dean of the Leon Hess Business School on matters relating to academic programs, student development, societal impact, and strategic planning. The Business Council will achieve this purpose by:
- Provide a forum that encourages a healthy university-to-business and business-to-business relationship.
- Providing the University with a continuous source of consulting, training, advising, and financial support from the business community.
- Developing the availability and use of the Leon Hess Business School as an educational and consulting resource to the business community.
- Facilitating the education, training, experiential learning internships and hiring of graduates by the business community.
- Provide support through fund raising for the Leon Hess Business School initiatives.
- Stimulate an ongoing relationship between the faculty and business, thereby maximizing the utilization of both as a resource to assist the other.
