Program in Sociology

Investigate Social Issues and Create Change

Through the study of social systems, we strive to prepare students to shape their own lives and influence their communities. By analyzing sociological theories and through teaching social science research methods, we aim to give students the knowledge and skills needed for a number of career paths.

About the Program

We are a dynamic, student-centered program that offers bachelor’s degrees in sociology as well as minors in Sociology, Gender Studies, and Social Justice. Classes are taught by award-winning faculty, and students get firsthand experience of discipline-based careers through research courses and practical opportunities. Graduates of our programs have gone on to lead successful careers in social services, law, education, business, and health-care.
