Eligibility
Incoming First-Year Students:
Students who apply to Monmouth are automatically considered for the Honors School.
There are several ways in which first-year applicants are evaluated and accepted into the Honors School;
- Based on academic qualifications, students may be offered admission directly into the Honors School.

If interested you must choose to join.
- Students may be offered the option to apply to the Honors School by submitting an application.
This offer is located in your Admission Portal.
· Students who believe they are a good fit for the Honors School but who have not been accepted directly or invited to apply to the Honors School may request to submit the Honors School application for admission once they have been accepted to the University by contacting the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 732-571-3456 or admission@monmouth.edu.
Current Monmouth University Students:
After taking 12 credits at Monmouth University and earning a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, students are eligible to join upon approval by the Dean of the Honors School.
Transfer Students:
Students transferring to Monmouth University with at least 30 credits and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 are eligible to join upon approval by the Dean of the Honors School.
