Eligibility

There are several ways in which first-year applicants are individually evaluated for admission to the Honors School upon application to the University either through direct acceptance or through a specific Honors School application.

  • Students who apply to Monmouth University through the traditional admission plan are considered for admission to the Honors School if they demonstrate a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a SAT score of 1200 or 26 on the ACT. Students who do not meet these minimum criteria may be invited to submit an Honors School application once they have been accepted to the University.
  • Students who apply to Monmouth University through the test-optional admission plan may be invited to submit an Honors School application based upon their academic record once they have been accepted to the University.
  • Students who believe they are a good fit for the Honors School but who have not been accepted or invited to apply to the Honors School may request to submit the Honors School application for admission once they have been accepted to the University.

Please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission if you are an applicant or interested in applying to Monmouth University. You can reach the office at 732-571-3456 or at admission@monmouth.edu.
