Computer Facilities

All master’s students are given accounts on high-capacity Linux servers. The servers are remotely accessible via the Internet from on and off campus, and make available the latest software development tools as well as database management systems for students’ research and coursework needs.

Students also have access to a Software System Design Studio, Real-Time Embedded Systems Lab and Microprocessor Lab for their class work and/or research with software/hardware system design and engineering target (e.g. robots and drones) control. There are other two valuable facilities. One is an open lab equipped with PCs running Linux, and the other is a dedicated Linux and MacOS instructional lab, containing state-of-the-art Apple iMac desktop computers.

All computers are on an Ethernet network and have high-speed access to the Internet. Additionally, the University has a wireless network with access points across campus.
