Thank you for participating in Monmouth University’s General Education Assessment. Before you begin, there are some important things to have on hand:

Gather Your Information:

  1. Know which category of General Education your course fits under [i.e. Historical Perspectives, Global Understanding, etc.]
  2. Know which Learning Outcome you are assessing.
  3. Be ready to provide a description of the assignment/artifact used as the basis for the assessment.
  4. Be ready to provide:
    1. The number of artifacts you deemed Inadequate along with one sample artifact which best represents that category.
    2. The number of artifacts you deemed as Marginally Adequate along with one sample artifact which best represents that category.
    3. The number of artifacts you deemed as Good along with one sample artifact which best represents that category.
    4. A digital file of your syllabus.
    5. One file that provides the rubric or other supporting documentation for this assessment (optional).

One Final Step

After you submit this form, please send your artifact files to outcomes@monmouth.edu. Please label your files clearly, and be sure to remove any student identifying information.

Your artifact files may include:

  • One artifact to represent inadequate work (if relevant);
  • One artifact to represent marginally adequate work (if relevant);
  • One artifact to represent good work (if relevant);
  • Your course syllabus file; and
  • Your rubric or other supporting documents.
