  • Current Topics in Counseling Conference

    This conference is facilitated by the Department of Professional Counseling’s alumni organization, Counseling Alumni Connection (CAC). The purpose of the CAC is to keep post-graduate students connected to their academic community and invested in the field of counseling through the promotion of professional and personal development. Post-graduate students will be encouraged to participate in a number of sponsored workshops and trainings, open roundtable discussions, community outreach events, and networking opportunities held on and off campus.

  • Pediatric Physical Assessment

    This course is one of the most popular continuing education programs offered by the School of Nursing. The instructor will focus on basic clinical evaluation of the school age child including both normal and abnormal findings. The material covered will primarily focus on disease and disorders frequently observed in the school age child.

    Monmouth University is excited to hold its annual Holiday Bazaar on December 5th 2017, in support of our Hawks serving underrepresented communities around the world. At the Bazaar, vendors are providing a variety of exciting merchandise for sale. Vendors from the surrounding Monmouth community are donating their table fees to support the Global Experience Program. In these programs, students spend winter, spring and summer breaks in developing nations building schools, orphanages, and medical/dental clinics. Come out to the Holiday Bazaar and pick up a gift for someone just before the Holiday Season!

  • Rings, Rashes, Lumps, and Bumps: Skin Disorders in the School Age Child

    Designed for the School Nurse or Pediatric Nurse, this workshop will cover assessment techniques, physical findings and treatment options for common skin disorders. The school health office is often the first place that a child will present with a wound, a lesion, rash, or an itch. The School Nurse’s assessment skills will determine whether the child returns to class or for further evaluation and treatment. Knowledge of skin disorders and diseases can help to ensure that a child receives appropriate care and can reduce the spread of diseases with the early implementation of infection control strategies.
