About the Opportunity
Join us as a Disaster Preparedness VISTA Member and help strengthen community resilience across Michigan. In this role, you will support long-term capacity-building projects designed to improve planning, coordination, and outreach related to disaster readiness and emergency response.

What You’ll Do
As a Disaster Preparedness VISTA Member, you will help advance our mission by:
- Developing and enhancing disaster preparedness plans, resources, and training materials.
- Supporting community outreach to increase awareness and readiness for emergencies.
- Researching best practices and helping implement sustainable preparedness strategies.
- Strengthening partnerships with local agencies, nonprofits, and community groups.
- Building systems to track program data, resources, and long-term partnerships.

Eligibility
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
- Must commit to a full year of service as a VISTA member.
