Passionate and dedicated Director of Community Affairs Wanted to help manage the office’s constituent casework and community work.

 

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9a-5p some evenings and weekends as needed

 

Salary:

$65K DOE

 

Qualifications:

Applicants should have 2-3 years of experience in state, local or federal government, possess exceptional writing skills, be able to quickly synthesize information and have a passion for government.

The position is writing intensive; the successful candidate will be an exceptional writer, able to write with precision and accuracy under tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.

They will have strong interpersonal skills: the ability to speak before large groups and interact with constituents, government agencies and elected official offices with sensitivity.

The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, able to set and meet internal and external deadlines and work in a fast-paced government office.

They must be willing to work long hours and some weekends.

The position is located in New York City; very minimal travel is required.
