Correction Officers are responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and orderly operation of Massachusetts correctional facilities. They supervise incarcerated individuals, enforce rules and regulations, conduct security inspections, respond to emergencies, and support rehabilitation efforts while promoting a safe and professional environment for staff, visitors, and those in custody. Correction Officers receive comprehensive training and have opportunities for advancement into specialized units and leadership positions.
