The Communications and Community Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Assemblywoman’s communication strategies, ensuring her message is effectively conveyed to constituents, media, and other stakeholders. This role also involves maintaining and enhancing the Assemblywoman’s brand identity through strategic marketing efforts. The successful candidate must be willing to attend events on evenings and weekends, as well as travel as needed.

 

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9a-5p

 

Salary:

$50K

 

Qualifications:

. Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a relevant field.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role.

• Experience in political communication or working within government is highly desirable.

• Network of media contacts, particularly within the New York area, to enhance press coverage and support outreach initiatives.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong understanding of media relations and social media management.

• Must work evenings and weekends.

• Ability to travel as needed.
