The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Assemblywoman’s district office. Responsible for managing the Assemblywoman’s daily schedule, coordinating meetings, and ensuring smooth communication and operations within her offices. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communications skills, and a commitment to public service.

 

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9a-5p

 

Salary:

$40k DOE

 

Qualifications:

•• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an administrative management role.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scheduling software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with the political landscape of Brooklyn, NY, and the 60th Assembly District is a plus.

• Must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
