• Establish a Scholarship

Creating a scholarship is a thoughtful way to honor or remember someone or celebrate a special event in your life. By establishing a scholarship you will provide a student in need of financial assistance with the opportunity to attend Monmouth University. In addition, you have the opportunity to commemorate what is important in your life.

Monmouth University offers two types of scholarships:

    • A sponsored scholarship is established with a minimum gift of $1,000. This scholarship is renewed each year at the donor’s discretion. The donor assists in creating the criteria for the scholarship.
    • There are endowed scholarships. A distinguished endowed scholarship can be created with a $50,000 gift, and an endowed scholarship can be established with a gift of $25,000. These types of scholarships go on for perpetuity. The donor assists in creating the criteria for the scholarship. Either type of endowment can be established with a pledge that is fulfilled over five years. No awards are made from an endowment until it is fully funded. The gift is invested in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Trustees.
