About Information Management

Information Management (IM) at Monmouth University is committed to its leadership role of fostering the University’s goals through being a partner for technology advancement and innovation.  Our mission is to provide technology leadership, expertise, solutions and services in support of the teaching, learning, research, and outreach goals of the University.  Through a knowledgeable and committed staff, IM offers excellent service to its customers while ensuring an institutional perspective on technology solutions, information security and continuous improvement.

Comprised of three areas–Information Operations, Information Support, and Information Logistics and Security–IM is responsible for the operation and support for student, faculty and staff access and use of desktop, student information, data center, email, document imaging, financial, learning management, network, mobile devices, media/audiovisual, telecommunication and time and attendance systems.  Click to see the Information Management organization chart.

From the dorms to the classroom, from parents to students to alumni, from staff to faculty to administrators to the Board of Trustees, wherever and whenever they engage with the University, IM supports and is a proactive partner in the information requirements of the Monmouth University community.  These efforts have been recognized by the 2010 Real Solutions Award from OnBase and the 2011 Excellence in Technology Education Award from the New Jersey Technology Council, and our partnerships across the University have been noted in national, regional and local conferences and presentations.  In addition, our staff also serve on various advisory boards including Brightspace and Ellucian.
