William Craig, vice president for finance at Monmouth University, was recently recognized as an honoree of the 2022 NJBIZ Leaders in Finance awards, which celebrates New Jersey’s financial executives at all levels who “contribute to the success of their companies as well as their communities.” The honorees will be recognized at an official ceremony on April 27 in Somerset, NJ.
“It was an unexpected honor to be notified that I had been selected by NJBIZ as a 2022 Leader in Finance and to be recognized along with such a prestigious group of business leaders,” said Craig. “It is especially rewarding to receive the award at the same time as our Board of Trustees Chair, Jeana Piscatelli.”
After receiving a nomination, honorees were chosen by a panel of independent judges with experience in the financial field. In addition to involvement in their industries and communities, the selections were chosen for their “achievements, energy, and innovative ideas.”
Craig continued, “I want to thank President Leahy for nominating me. In my 41 years at Monmouth, I have had the support of six presidents and the Board of Trustees in guiding the finances of the University. I also want to thank the members of the senior management team who have worked together to set priorities and implement budgets and fiscal policies. [Lastly,] I want to recognize the outstanding team I have in the Division of Finance.”
