Zachary Dougherty, senior history and political science student, was again named to Insider NJ’s 2022 Insider 100: Millennials Publication. It is Dougherty’s fourth consecutive time being featured on the list.
Ranked at No. 22, Dougherty is highlighted for being a leader on anti-gun violence initiatives, as well as for his role in spearheading a legislative effort to establish the NJ Legislative Youth Council, which would provide a forum for NJ youth to participate in the democratic process. Dougherty says to his fellow students, “If you’re crazy enough to think you can change the world, you’re exactly who the world needs.”
Also representing Monmouth on the Insider 100: Millennials List for a fourth year is Samantha DeAlmeida ’12 ’14M ’18M. At No. 28, DeAlmeida has “quickly risen through the ranks in the labor world,” serving as ABC-NJ President. Insider NJ also highlights her lobbying and labor credentials, as well as an “attempt for Assembly in 2019 in part aimed at increasing representation for younger voices.”
