Joe Rapolla, chair of the Music and Theatre Department, and John J. Esposito HN ’17, chairman and chief executive officer of Warner Music Nashville, will be the featured guests on a webinar, “The Smartest People in the Room,” presented by music industry forum, WHO KNEW, on Jan. 28 at 2 p.m.
The interview series, founded by Tom Truitt, CEO of Music Row Search and current partner and head of the entertainment practice at Buffkin-Baker’s Nashville office, showcases insights from leading music industry experts. Truitt describes the event as a “dream pairing of Rockstar music executives,” adding that Esposito, “is on the Mt. Rushmore of Nashville music power players.” He also notes that Rapolla is “no stranger to the WHO KNEW platform as he delivered one of the most moving and inspiring WHO KNEW talks ever back in 2018.”
In addition to being long-time professional colleagues, Esposito and Rapolla are close friends who also perform together in one of the music industry’s best “industry bands,” the Vowels.
