Professor Abate Delivers Presentation at Yale Global Climate Justice Conference

Randall S. Abate, professor in the Department of Political Science and Sociology and Rechnitz Family/Urban Coast Institute Endowed Chair in Marine and Environmental Law and Policy, delivered a panel presentation at the 9th Annual New Directions in Environmental Law Conference at Yale University on March 2, 2019.

Abate’s presentation, “Climate Justice and Intergenerational Equity: Theories, Victories, and Obstacles,” was delivered as part of a panel titled, “Protecting Tomorrow: Intergenerational Justice.” The conference had approximately 150 attendees and featured speakers from Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Seychelles, Syria, and several states in the U.S. who are leading experts on climate justice issues in multiple disciplines.
