A recent study conducted by NJ.com/NJ Advance Media found that Monmouth University alumni had the fourth highest median earnings after graduation among private, four-year colleges throughout the state. The results were compiled by analyzing federal data from tax records made available by the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard.
The data tracks median pay for former students at each New Jersey college 10 years after they started school. The latest available data includes earnings measured in 2020 and 2021 for students who first enrolled about a decade earlier.
NJ.com notes that the chart only represents students who received federal financial aid, such as a Pell Grant or a federal student loan, while in college. The figures exclude students who paid for college through other means, including family income, private scholarships, or a school’s own financial aid programs.
The pay figures included in the chart have also been adjusted for inflation. However, because the study tracks pay for students who started college 10 years earlier, the salary figures reflect earlier labor trends and economic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Monmouth University ranked seventh overall among the 26 public and private four-year schools across the state. Read the full results on NJ.com.
