Monmouth University was recently featured in “Washington Monthly’s” annual college guide and rankings, which ranks colleges and universities based on “what they do for our country.” Monmouth appears on the 2022 College Rankings: Master’s University list and the 2022 Best Bang for the Buck Colleges: Northeast list.

“Washington Monthly” ranks its 2022 master’s universities by their contribution to the greater good in three categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service. The publication determines scores by considering factors such as graduation retention, Pell Grant availability, overall affordability, loan repayment rates, student military or Peace Corp service, number of alumni pursuing advanced degrees, and more. This is Monmouth’s fifth consecutive year appearing on the list, climbing five spots higher than the 2021 ranking.

Monmouth also appears on the 2022 Best Bang for the Buck Colleges: Northeast list, which is ranked according to how well the institution “help[s] non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices” by taking a detailed look at the “social mobility” data component of the overall ranking. This is Monmouth’s second consecutive year appearing on the list, also five spots higher than the 2021 ranking.
