Monmouth University’s Giving Days 2025 raised $425,000 through more than 2,100 gifts to support student access, demonstrate shared connections, recognize academic and athletic achievements, and celebrate Hawk pride. During the 48-hour campaign on March 25-26, donor support came from 39 states and internationally from Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and New Zealand. The additional financial resources contributed on Giving Days are poised to have an immediate impact on the student experiences and will count toward the success of our comprehensive fundraising campaign, Excellence. Access. Ambition.
Giving Days participants helped students chart a Bold Path Forward by unlocking matching dollars and challenge funds to support scholarships, the School of Social Work, the Urban Coast Institute, women’s rowing, football, the wrestling club, and more. And this year, we’re especially proud to share that more than $100,000 of the fundraising total was inspired by the advocacy of volunteer ambassadors, who helped spread the word about how to show support. Janine Speiser, assistant director of practicum education for the School of Social Work and one of this year’s Giving Days ambassadors, shared, “This is the first year the School of Social Work has really participated, and we saw an incredible increase, with 52 gifts compared to last year’s 11! It was so much fun being an ambassador for this effort, and I’m proud of how we raised funds, engaged students, and made a real impact. Thank you to everyone who donated—these additional resources will truly benefit our students!”
