The anthropology program at Monmouth University is no. 8 in the College Factual 2021 national rankings of anthropology programs in a top-10 cohort that includes Brandeis University, Columbia University, New York University, UCLA, University of Virginia, and UNC Chapel Hill.
College Factual’s “Best Colleges for Anthropology” 2021 ranking analyzed 125 colleges and universities that offer a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, weighing 20 factors to determine the top 15% of schools for anthropology students. Factors with high and medium weight include post-graduate salary, percentage of students at the college in the major, percentage of all U.S. bachelor’s degree graduates in that major, related majors at the institution, and overall college quality.
In its methodology, College Factual emphasizes, “the overall quality of a school is important to ensure a quality education, not just how well they do in a particular major. To account for this, we consider a school’s overall Best Colleges ranking which itself looks at a combination of various factors like degree completion, educational resources, student body caliber and post-graduation earnings for the school as a whole.”
College Factual awarded 51 badges to Monmouth University in its 2021 rankings, with the University landing at #487 out of 1,715 colleges and universities on its list of “Best Colleges.”
