President Patrick F. Leahy, Dean Robin Mama, Ph.D., professor in the School of Social Work, and Polling Director Patrick Murray, were named to ROI Influencers: Higher Education lists for 2022. Leahy was featured in the Top Presidents list, while Murray and Mama were selected as some of ROI’s Top Deans and Directors.
Leahy, who recently spearheaded Monmouth’s move to the Colonial Athletic Association, was recognized by ROI for helping to “attract the most diverse and academically prepared classes in [Monmouth’s] history.”
As part of its Top Deans and Directors list, ROI recognized Mama for taking social work “from a program to a standalone school, one with connections to the United Nations and the International Federation of Social Workers, a nationally ranked MSW program, and a new DSW in Human Rights Leadership program.”
The list also features Murray, whose polling work is described by ROI as “solid and respected […] in the state and around the country.”
While highlighting campus construction projects around New Jersey, ROI calls out Monmouth’s new Parton Broadcasting Center, a state-of-the-art control room generously funded by Trustees Charles and Trudy Parton. The Center allows Monmouth’s “award-winning production team to work with industry-standard technology, giving students a leading edge when searching for jobs.”
ROI also mentions Monmouth as part of its series on unique classes and programs, highlighting the maritime archaeology course in the department of History and Anthropology, as well as the Coastal Lakes Observing Network (CLONet) program.
