Alison Gilbert, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, was recently recognized by ROI-NJ as part of their ROI Influencers: Women 2026 list.
This special edition list honors more than 300 women leaders whose “vision, leadership, and commitment have meaningfully shaped New Jersey’s business and civic landscape.” The list represents women across industries and sectors whose achievements and contributions have “strengthened our state’s economy and social fabric.”
“On behalf of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Monmouth University, I am honored to be recognized by ROI-NJ for our work powering Monmouth’s founder community and helping to grow the Jersey Shore into an innovation hub,” said Gilbert.
Gilbert was selected by ROI for her role in advancing innovative programming through the Center and entrepreneurial initiatives across the University. Her profile highlights success in “supporting student startups and experiential learning initiatives while expanding partnerships that connect academic entrepreneurship with real-world business development opportunities.”

Gilbert has consulted, coached, advised and workshopped with hundreds of early-stage entrepreneurs to help them launch, build and grow their businesses. She is the founder and lead business strategist at business strategy studio Project AG as well as the founder of The Big Whisper, a collection of tools to help anyone tap into their big whispers and bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life.
