Criminal Justice Students and Faculty Tour the U.S. Supreme Court

Criminal justice and homeland security students travelled to Washington, DC for an insider’s tour of the U.S. Supreme Court. Accompanied by Criminal Justice faculty members, Dr. Marie Mele, Dr. Beth Sanders, and Professor Nick Sewitch, students were treated to a personal tour of the court, which included the courtroom where the justices hear oral arguments, the lawyers’ lounge, and the justices’ law library. The tour was a transformative learning experience, which enabled students to develop a first hand understanding of the structure and operation of the most powerful court in the nation. The tour was so well received; it will likely become a fall tradition for students and Criminal Justice faculty.
