Delayed Opening – Feb. 25, 2026

Monmouth University will operate on a delayed opening schedule tomorrow, February 25, 2026. The University will open at 10:00 a.m., and classes will begin at 10:05 a.m. All classes that start before 10 am are cancelled.

Employee Reporting Information

  • Facilities Management personnel should report at their regularly scheduled time.
  • Essential personnel should report as directed by their supervisor.

Weather Closing Feb. 24, 2026

Monmouth University offices will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 24. All classes will be conducted remotely. In-person activities are cancelled. Essential personnel must report as directed by their supervisors. The dining hall will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., and the C-Store and Fitness Center will be closed.

Hawk Safety Alert 2022-01

Dear Monmouth University Community:

On January 14, 2022, the Monmouth University Police Department was made aware of a number of incidents that occurred in Long Branch regarding a suspicious male trespassing at off campus houses occupied by Monmouth University female students. As a result of this information we wanted to make you aware of the following.

Monmouth University students contacted the Long Branch Police Department to report the actions of this individual. This individual was seen walking around their property and peering into windows.

The subject was arrested by the Long Branch Police Department. He is described as a 40 year old Hispanic male, tan complexion, 5’8”, 180 lbs., brown eyes, with black hair.

His vehicle is a 2003 Ford Expedition, color tan with Pennsylvania license plates.

The residences involved are private residences.

There is no threat to the campus nor any indication that the subject has been on campus.

The Monmouth University Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to report any suspicious persons or activity that may occur on campus to the University Police Department at 732-571-4444.
