Military-connected Students TA/VA Certification Dates
Monmouth’s academic school year consists of three semesters: Fall, Spring, and Summer. The summer session has five sub-semesters (A, B, C, D, and E). Further information on these terms can be found at the academic calendars page.
Upcoming Dates and TA/VA Certification Timelines for Summer 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023
The charts below give the relevant upcoming dates for military-connected students. These dates have been set to ensure efficient processing of Tuition Assistance and Veterans Affairs benefits before the cancellation deadline of a given term, to ensure timely disbursement of book stipends (VA), and to ensure that students’ housing allowance payments (VA only) are not delayed. As a general rule, the Office of Veteran Services submits initial certifications to the VA at least 4 weeks prior to the start of a term (provided the student is enrolled in classes at this date) in order to ensure timely processing of benefits.
Please note: The Office of Veteran Services will still process benefits and certifications after the established TA/VA submission deadline (to include late registration). However, the Office of Veteran Services cannot guarantee that late submissions to the VA/DoD will be processed in a timely fashion. Questions regarding processing times should be directed to your component service’s education office (DoD TA) or the VA’s GI Bill ® Hotline (1-888-442-4551).
