Monmouth University’s nursing education track offers you courses in curriculum development and instruction, assessment, evaluating outcomes, classroom, and clinical instruction.
A practicum with a seminar immersion will further prepare you in the role of nurse educator, including teaching in a pre-licensure program, using high fidelity simulation, facilitating learning in an online environment, and assimilating into the role of the nurse educator in an academic environment.
Our master’s in nursing education program will enhance your clinical expertise through concentration courses including advanced health assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology.
Nurse Faculty Loan Program
The Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) may be available to eligible graduate students in the MSN Educator Program and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with nursing education electives in July 2023, pending the availability of funding. The loan provides funding for tuition, fees, and books to assist the graduate student to complete the program and be prepared to become a nurse educator.
Students sign a promissory note for the amount borrowed; however, 85% of the loan is forgiven if the individual is employed full time as a nurse educator for four years following graduation.
