During CY 2024-2025, the department received 76 applications, accepted 63, but 28 enrolled. The next CY, the department received 98 applications, accepted 69, but 42 enrolled. The department noted that from CY 24 to CY 25, the number of applications increased, but the number of applicants to whom we extended offers of admission remained constant. Of note is how the number of enrolled applicants increased from CY 24 to CY 25. In CY 24, 44% of those accepted enrolled, whereas in CY 25, 61% of those accepted enrolled. The department has made changes to its admissions process. Some changes include:

  • Develop an admissions committee
  • Create priority deadlines for applications

The department is revising its interview procedures and rubrics and is proposing a Counseling minor to be more attractive.

  2. Social and Cultural Diversity
  3. Human Growth and Development
  4. Career Development
  5. Counseling and Helping Relationships
