We are a diverse law firm primarily operating out of Texas with offices in California and Washington D.C. This scholarship is intended to help students with high character, above-average intellect as demonstrated by academic achievement and a commitment to community service. Our 2019 scholarship is open to any American citizen, who will be attending a college, university, graduate school, or law school in the United States during the 2019 – 2020 school year. Only students who have a 3.0 GPA or higher may apply for this scholarship.
Who Should Apply
This award seeks female students with diverse backgrounds of race, ethnicity or faith, obtain the degree of their choice from any eligible college, university, graduate school, or law school. Applicants are encouraged to apply in fields in which women have traditionally been underrepresented: science, math, engineering, technology, business, and law. Applicants must be enrolled in or committed to attend a college, university, or professional school for the 2019 – 2020 school year. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of their application. Applicants should not be immediate family members of employees of the Ashcraft & Gerel law office.
This $1,000 one-time scholarship award will be sent directly to the registrar’s office of the winner’s college or university and can be used to cover the cost of tuition, fees, housing, and/or books up to the Cost of Attendance. This scholarship is not renewable. Applicants will need to submit an official transcript and one letter of recommendation from an employer or professor/teacher in addition to submitting an essay.
