    Say hello to Julia Carlucci, founder of Pillow’d, one of six finalists for the CFE’s upcoming HawkTank Business Pitch Competition on April 17th, 2023, at 5:30pm. To combat the growing fast-fashion industry, Carlucci came up with the idea to create a brand that sells decorative pillow covers and inserts that are reusable, to reduce waste production and save customers time, space, and money.     Meet Erin Petersen, founder of Chrysalis Farms, one of six finalists in the upcoming HawkTank Business Pitch Competition on April 17th, 2023, at 5:30pm. Petersen’s mission in creating Chrysalis Farms is to have a working urban farm that provides the local community with fresh produce, a cafe for gathering, eco-therapy experiences, and opportunities for vocational training. Griffin Tomas, Dylan Sara, and Ben Zakowski, founders of Division One Fitness are three friends who came together with the goal to build a media brand that entertains and educates about being a division one athlete.     Seniors Ava Taylor and Giovanna Cappadona have teamed up to come up with a solution for following local flooding conditions with their app, Fludz.   • HawkTank Spotlight: iCycle

    Meet Alex Mykulyn, a junior Political Science student looking to find better ways to divert waste in closed loop venues and beyond. His business, iCycle, was created when Alex saw just how much his high school was disposing of used notebooks to landfills. iCycle recognizes and capitalizes on unique waste diversion opportunities, like partnering with local schools for locker clean out day.     Ever feel like you’re subscribed to too many TV streaming services? HawkTank finalist Arielle Sincin is creating a solution with her BingeWatch app. The app helps users track their monthly subscription costs and how often they use different TV streaming services to better manage their finances.
