Jeffrey received both his MM and BM in Music Performance from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL where his principal teachers were Andrew Lewinter and Jerry Peel. Currently Jeffrey is a candidate for the Doctorate in Musical Arts (ABD) at the University of Kentucky where he studies currently with David Elliott, and has had additional studies with Eli Epstein, Richard Deane, and Charles “Skip” Snead.

Prior to his move into higher education, Jeffrey was an active freelancer in the Atlanta, GA area where he had the pleasure to perform on recording sessions, national tours, and varied live music events. Jeffrey’s orchestral experience is extensive having performed with numerous orchestras throughout the Southeast including the Atlanta, Miami, Columbus (GA), Tuscaloosa, Symphony of the Americas (FL), and Macon Symphony Orchestras. Beyond his orchestral background Jeffrey’s focus is chamber music performance. As a member of the UA Horn Quartet Jeffrey was a Semi-Finalist at the 2002 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.

Before Monmouth, Jeffrey was Instructor of Music at Lincoln Memorial University for 10 years teaching courses in the General Education curriculum as well as upper level courses in the Music major. Jeffrey also started the Splitter Sound Machine, the athletic pep ensemble that performed at varied athletic competitions, campus recruiting events, and outreach performances across the community.
