Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for surgical procedures and assist with room turnover by arranging sterile setup of instruments, sponges, sutures, and other supplies required for specific surgical procedures according to surgeon preferences.
- Consult with the physician before the case to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready. Assist with sponge and needle counts before, during, and after closing.
- Keep current with technical advancements and professional trends within the operating room setting.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed a Surgical Technician program.
- New graduates and experienced Surgical Technologist’s welcome to apply; pay based on experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers.
