Retail Sales Associate – Holiday Markets (NYC)
Location: Bryant Park, New York City, and potentially other pop up locations
Season: Late October through early January
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Part-time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Position Overview
LIKHA is looking for warm, outgoing, and sales-minded Retail Associates to join our holiday team at Bryant Park.
You’ll represent LIKHA at one of New York City’s busiest holiday markets, helping customers discover our handcrafted home goods, accessories, and gifts while sharing the story behind our products and the artisan communities who make them.
This is a customer-facing sales role, so we’re looking for people who enjoy talking to customers, recommending products, and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage customers in a friendly, proactive way
- Learn the LIKHA collection and confidently recommend products based on customer needs
- Share the story behind our products, materials, craftsmanship, and artisan partnerships
- Help drive sales and contribute toward daily and weekly sales goals
- Process transactions accurately using our POS system
- Replenish merchandise and help monitor inventory
- Keep the booth clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Assist with opening, closing, setup, and breakdown as needed
- Provide thoughtful customer service and help resolve basic customer questions
Qualifications
- Previous retail, sales, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable approaching customers
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor holiday-market environment
- Flexible availability, particularly on weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Interest in design, handcrafted goods, responsible production, or artisan-made products is a plus
