Pay: $22.00 – $33.00 per hour

The Weill Cornell Male Reproductive Biology Laboratory is looking for candidates who are friendly, presentable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position is not limited to routine clinical lab work. It involves interacting with patients, entails sophisticated Andrology and Embryology techniques, and also allows ample opportunities for research, publications, and presentations at national/international conferences. 

 

Applicants are not required to have any Reproductive Biology background, as they will receive targeted, higher skill training.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsibilities involving patient interaction and documentation
  • Assessment and handling of Reproductive Biology specimens
  • Data entry utilizing computer applications, particularly FileMaker (in service training will be provided)
  • Candidates will also have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing research projects, or carry out their own, in Reproductive Biology
  • In addition, candidates will be exposed to work with exclusive clientele and will be able to interact closely with well-renowned physician scientists in the field of Reproductive Medicine

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences 
  • Good organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Candidates must be comfortable handling Reproductive Biology specimens

The service is open 7 days a week, with the exception of certain Holidays. Therefore, this position requires full availability Mondays-Fridays, with an additional half or full day on weekends.

Candidates must be located in the New York City area and available to attend an in-person interview and laboratory assessment as part of the hiring process. If hired, the candidate must be available to start immediately.
