Probation Student Intern (Spring 2027)

The United States Probation Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina is currently accepting applications for a part-time Student Intern for the 2027 Spring term.  This position will be filled as permitted by budgetary constraints.  If funding is not available, an unpaid internship may still be offered.   Probation Interns provide support to probation officers and are located in the Raleigh or Wilmington offices.   This position is a When-Actually-Employed (WAE) appointment. There is no predetermined work schedule.  Work hours are determined by the student’s school schedule and the supervisor.   Compensation is based on the actual hours worked.
