Loan Officer Assistant

Location: 1075 W Entrance Dr., Auburn Hills, MI 48326

Work Model: Onsite

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the role

A Loan Officer Assistant supports loan officers in managing the mortgage or lending process from application through closing. The role is the operational backbone of a lending team — handling paperwork, coordinating with borrowers, title companies, and underwriters, and keeping every file moving on schedule. You won’t be the face of the deal, but deals don’t close without you.

What you’ll do

  • Comfortable making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls.
  • Collect, review, and organize loan application documents from borrowers
  • Communicate with applicants to request missing items and provide status updates
  • Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system (LOS)
  • Support the loan officer with scheduling, follow-ups, and pipeline management
  • Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies

About you

  • Prior experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills — you manage multiple files without things slipping through
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable talking to borrowers and partners
  • Comfortable learning new software; experience with a loan origination system is a bonus
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven

What we offer

  • Competitive pay
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k), Life Insurance, short and long term disability
  • Opportunity to grow within a lending team
  • Hands-on exposure to the full mortgage process
